star gazers family campout

Part of the Bell Museum's Statewide Star Party

April 9-10, 2022
$65 per adult  |  $50 per child
Free for stargazing only

Fun that is out of this world! Enjoy a day of nature and a night of stargazing. Arrive at 3 p.m. on April 9 for fun in nature with a naturalist-guided bog/nature hike, a bonfire with s'mores, and more. After a delicious dinner, you will learn about astronomy, with an emphasis on Ojibwe and Dakota constellations, before heading out and gazing into space. Long Lake has some of the best dark skies in Minnesota. Astronomy will be provided by Long Lake naturalists and members of the Minnesota Astronomical Society. Wake up on April 10, enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading home.

All stargazers will participate in organized activities and receive gifts and materials, courtesy of the Bell Museum.

If you would like to participate in the Bell Museum activities and stargazing, but don't wish to eat or stay overnight, the event is free.

All participants must register.  Learn more about the Bell Museum's Statewide Star Party.
