A place for learning, discovery, and connecting to nature.
Since 1963, Long Lake Conservation Center's mission has been to encourage the exploration, conservation, education, and appreciation of nature.
Every day we work to connect people with nature, encouraging them to develop a lifelong stewardship of the environment.

TEACHER TALES
Kathy Riewer
Once I get on the bus, I sit back and watch the magic unfold. The Long Lake instructors take over and I can enjoy watching the awe and wonder as the students discover the beauty and importance of the wilderness. Looking closely at details that most never existed. Living experiences that will provide glimpses into the future. Everyone can unplug. This is truly a tradition that Bertha-Hewitt has kept sacred.
